He is best known for his realistic landscapes that show rural life. He was a sickly child. So, his parents home schooled him. His father was an artist and taught Wyeth the basics of drawing. One of his most famous paintings is called “Christina’s World” which was painted in 1948. It features a woman with polio making her way across a field without a wheel chair.
